Public Benefit Activities

Public Welfare Activity

Guangjian Academy has established long-term cooperative relationships with multiple public welfare organizations, including the Shanghai Caopeng Public Welfare Foundation, the Shanghai Wish Long lasting Public Welfare Foundation, Siping Road Street in Yangpu District, Jiaxing Road Street in Hongkou District, Jiangning Road Street in Jing'an District, etc.

The establishment of the Shanghai Caopeng Public Welfare Foundation was initiated by Mr. Cao Peng, a national first-class conductor and moral model, in collaboration with Huang Yiyi and Cao Kebo. The foundation was officially established in December 2021. Our school and Cao Peng are committed to caring for children and patients with autism, and have jointly organized activities such as program performances, charity sales and donations, and a special art/football/basketball class.

The Shanghai Wishful Longevity Public Welfare Foundation is a public welfare organization approved by the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau. It is supervised and guided by the Aging Department of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, and mainly supports public welfare projects related to civil affairs, such as assisting the elderly. Our school, together with Jiujiu Public Welfare, has launched activities such as "Intergenerational Inheritance, Shared Prosperity," "Revisiting Red Memories," and "Cross-Age Handshakes in Tongji Garden." We jointly promote the spirit of respecting and loving the elderly, promote the high-quality development of the elderly care industry, and paint the most beautiful "sunset red" warm picture.

Activity Exploration Day

Opening up countless possibilities for the future – experiencing the world's depth and vitality through cross-border practice. To put the concept of "holistic education" into action and help students explore the intersection of personal interests and social values, Guangjian Meigao organizes an Exploration Day each semester. The program emphasizes "seeing, participating, and growing", and consists of three main sections: career exploration, public service practice, and academic research. It includes a variety of distinctive projects, providing an immersive growth platform for students with diverse interests.

Summer Teaching Support

Our school organizes a Summer Volunteer Teaching Program aimed at providing international high school students with a practical platform to delve into rural China, practice social responsibility, and cultivate global citizenship. The core of the project is to go beyond classroom learning and guide students to understand the diverse aspects of China's social development, especially key issues such as rural revitalization, educational equity, and cultural heritage, through volunteer service and project-based inquiry (PBL) in a real social and cultural environment. We are committed to cultivating students' awareness of equal dialogue and pragmatic service, abandoning the "giver" mentality, and emphasizing mutual learning and growth with the local community.

Participating Summer Volunteer Teaching Program is a valuable experience for students' all-round growth, which can deepen their cognition and abilities, expand their global vision and responsibilities, temper their character and values, and enhance their comprehensive competitiveness.

Guizhou Bijie, Guizhou Linchang Primary School, Xiangxi Xiayankan Primary School, Xiangxi Paimen Primary School, and Daocheng Yading have all left the footprints of students from Guangjian Meigao.

Through Summer Volunteer Teaching Program, our students not only bring vitality and new knowledge to rural areas, but also draw strength for growth through service, transforming from "international students" to action oriented global citizens who care about their hometown and embrace the world.
