Welcoming a New Chapter: Guanghua Academy Launches 2025 School Year
Guanghua Academy opened the 2025 school year with energy, reflection, and a renewed commitment to student growth. Over the summer, the campus introduced new smart learning devices, unveiled the Dongyun Building, and expanded its curriculum to provide greater flexibility and personalized pathways.
On August 29, new families joined the GHA community. At the welcome session, school leaders emphasized the Academy’s mission to combine joyful learning with strong university outcomes. Highlights included specialized counseling programs such as the Athletic Ivy Quest and Arts Ivy Quest, designed to guide students toward top U.S. and international universities.
Students quickly built connections through outdoor team-building activities on August 30, and the September 1 Opening Ceremony celebrated their enthusiasm and achievements. Nearly half of the senior class has already earned TOEFL scores above 100—a strong indicator of their academic readiness. Leaders encouraged students to pursue excellence with integrity, resilience, and empathy while developing healthy digital habits.
The ceremony also showcased student voices and global experiences, from participating in the Harvard Summit in China to competing in Nashville and studying at UC Davis. An awards presentation recognized role models within the community, including recipients of the Principal’s Award.
With new facilities, innovative programs, and a vibrant student body, Guanghua Academy begins the year with confidence and a vision to prepare every student for success in leading universities worldwide.
