On April 12, the 2026 National Lacrosse Champions Cup concluded in Tianjin. The young athletes of Guanghua Academy (GHA) returned with the ultimate spring tribute: an undefeated national championship for the U15 team and a hard-fought national bronze for the U18 team.
What defines a GHA lacrosse player? Is it the glory of the podium, the grit to persevere through adversity, or the courage to stand back up after every fall and fight until the final whistle? Our 2026 story proves the answer is all of the above.

U15 Boys: An Unstoppable Road to the Gold
With four consecutive victories, the GHA U15 Boys’ team dominated the field to claim the national title.
  • The Breakthrough: After a tense start against Beijing Storm Fangs, the team exploded in the third quarter to secure a 10-5 opening win.
  • The Momentum: Against the physical defense of Tsinghua High School Daxing, GHA executed a composed tactical plan, winning 15-7.
  • The Clutch Performance: In a rematch with Beijing, MVP Ziqi Wang led a "5-point blitz" in the third quarter to seal a 10-2 victory.
  • The Finale: In the championship match, Enhao Mei and Size Cheng acted as "twin blades" to pierce the opponent's defense, supported by a "iron-gate" backline that forced five critical turnovers, ending in a perfect 14-4 victory.

U18 Boys: Challenging the Elite with Resilience
Averaging under 16 years old, our U18 team took on a "play-up" challenge against older, more experienced opponents.
  • Grit Under Pressure: Facing Beijing 101 (featuring national team players), defender Kairui Shi anchored the backline. Despite a tough scoreline, the team refused to concede a single minute of effort.
  • The Comeback: Against Shanghai Pinghe, core player Yi Zhang netted a hat-trick to lead a 12-2 rout.
  • Character on the Field: Against Beijing 101 Middle School, the team maintained their composure through heavy physical contact. With "anchor goals" from Yi Zhang and Qi Chen, they executed a 11-4 comeback.
  • The Battle for Bronze: Despite exhaustion and a size disadvantage against Shandong Anshan Qilin, rookies like Yuchen Yan and Liangxi Sun threw themselves into the defense. While they narrowly missed the silver (4-14), their coach noted: "To play up an age bracket and fight this hard means you’ve already won."

Beyond the Trophy: The GHA Student-Athlete Pathway
These championships are the result of GHA’s long-term, systemic investment in athletics. We believe competitive sports are about more than trophies—they are about character development.
Lacrosse is one of GHA's three core "Pillar Sports" (alongside Rowing and Golf). In 2026, we plan to recruit 10 lacrosse specialists (Co-ed).
The GHA "Dual-Excellence" System:
Academic-Athletic Balance: We provide a scientific training schedule that ensures sports and academics never conflict.
  • Institutional Support: The school offers flexible academic policies for student-athletes during competition cycles and provides Dual-Excellence Scholarships to reward those who excel both in the classroom and on the field.
  • NCAA Recruitment Pipeline: Leveraging elite domestic and international coaching, GHA provides a specialized NCAA Recruitment Service, helping talented players leverage their athletic prowess to knock on the doors of elite U.S. universities.
At GHA, lacrosse is more than a sport—it is a runway to the world’s top universities. If you have a passion for competition and a dream of elite American higher education, your journey starts at GHA.
