Under the autumn canopy of plane trees and ginkgo leaves, our students—rooted in academic inquiry and holistic growth—continue to shine on the many stages of youth. As we reach the midpoint of the semester and gather once again as a community, we celebrate outstanding peers, applaud the achievements of student leaders, and reaffirm our own purpose in moving forward.
This semester's honors span 17 categories across academics, athletics, creativity, and character. Yet they represent far more than accolades. Each award is like a beam of light illuminating the diverse and authentic portraits of young people on our campus—some who probe knowledge with depth, some who challenge their physical limits, some who turn inspiration into innovation, and others who demonstrate conviction in the details of everyday life.

Part 01 | Practice That Deepens Learning
From the VEX Robotics arena to synthetic biology laboratories, our students continue to make their presence felt on international platforms.
At the Shanghai SRCC VEX Robotics Invitational, our ACADEMY team (33398A) achieved an extraordinary record—ten consecutive wins across qualification and elimination rounds—earning both the Alliance Championship and the Excellence Award.
Meanwhile, in the world's premier synthetic biology competition, iGEM, eight students from Guanghua ShanghaiU competed with more than 400 teams worldwide. Their project—“Modular Attenuated Vaccine Development for Sustainable Aquaculture”—earned a Global Gold Medal.
Back on campus, the enthusiasm for learning remained strong long after the competitions ended. During the midterm assessment period, students demonstrated diligence and intellectual focus. Continuing our tradition, we awarded the title of “Elite Scholar” to students who ranked within the top 10% academically—a recognition not only of their results, but of their sustained commitment to exploring knowledge in greater depth.

Part 02 | Excellence Across Athletics and the Arts
In the National Lacrosse Championship (U15 Boys), our school team fought with resilience, advanced to the national Top 56, and ultimately secured an impressive 5th-place finish.
In rowing, every stroke on the ergometer is a confrontation with invisible resistance and personal limits. The latest performance assessments show tangible progress: on average, students improved by more than 30 seconds compared with two months ago. This is not a momentary burst of effort, but the visible imprint of consistent training over time.
On the soccer and basketball courts, students also brought home encouraging results from a series of friendly matches. Beyond wins and losses, what mattered most were the disciplined execution of tactics, the flow of teamwork, and the wholehearted commitment seen in every sprint.
Growth rarely comes with fanfare. It is hidden in each stroke that is stronger than the last, and in every thoughtful pass or strategic movement on the court. Progress is built step by step—and time makes it visible.
In music, visual arts, and performance, another form of growth is unfolding. Students are not only appreciative audiences; they step confidently into the spotlight. They form their own bands, turning every rehearsal into a dialogue of rhythm and harmony. They take to the stage at school events, offering songs, melodies, and spontaneous artistic expression that reflect their inner creativity.

Part 03 | The Busy Work Behind Every Achievement
Behind every poised figure on today's stage stand countless days and nights of effort—last-minute edits before a deadline, the courage to seek help repeatedly from teachers and peers, and the determination to refine one's work during fragmented pockets of time.
A gentle, collaborative order is steadily taking shape across campus.
It appears not only in tidy classrooms and dormitories—evidence of students taking responsibility for their academic and daily lives—but also in the everyday details that distinguish our “Exemplary Classes”: shared routines, seamless group coordination, and the instinct to extend a helping hand when someone is in need.
This same spirit shines at student-run charity marketplaces, where creativity and care are transformed into support for others. Whether setting prices, calling out to visitors, or keeping financial records, students practice the essentials of contributing to a community.

These seemingly small rituals—from morning greetings, to teamwork on group projects, to the instinctive support offered at moments of need—are the earliest lessons in “how we live together.” Collected over time, these faint glimmers of kindness illuminate a shared path forward.
Growth is the process of finding belonging within a community while maintaining one's own direction. Along this journey, families and the school walk side by side. We deeply value every conversation with parents; such communication sustains a warm and reliable environment that supports each student's development.
As Principal Wan emphasized at the conclusion of the ceremony:
The midterm exams are only one small milestone on the long road of learning. True growth begins now.
